Received an order to make 4 passport holders and a name card holder from a Carousell customer, under a very tight timeline. A week.
Work work work. So immediately after I gone down the orders, I started tracing out my templates. Like always, I’ll run through the process of how I make my leather products.
Here’s after dying. After it has set for a while, I then apply a layer of neatsfoot oil, hence the shiny glow.
Once all has been absorbed, I then cut out the leather pieces.
Putting the pieces together.
Beveling the edges gives you a cleaner “roll” or rounded edge when you burnish.
Stitching pockets. This is how I do it. I know different crafters have different ways of doing it. But this is how I do it!
Sorry I missed out a process here. But once all is done, stitch all of them together.
Burnished edge. See how it is rather rounded?
Rather pleased with this set of work. Anyways, if you are headed down for Singapore’s Maker Faire, do look me up! I’ll be bringing a few of my products for you to take a look, or probably even purchase if you want.
That’s all, and have a great weekend!
